The unit seems to be in good working order but could probably use new caps. When I got it, it had some damage to the tonearm and the tonearm rest. The arm has two tiny Allen screws underneath that keep it from twisting. One screw is missing, and the other was loose. I tightened the remaining screw, and the tonearm no longer twists. The original headshell was broken. I used one of my headshells (not included) to test three cartridges (none are included) which are demonstrated on the youtube video. The tonearm rest was broken off. But you don't really need it except to lock the arm when not in use. Easy enough to install a new one but I didn't have any extras to spare. There is no lid. The mat is not original. There is a chunk of plinth chipped of on the front. Other than that, the finish is in very good condition. Due to the complicated nature of this turntable I'm selling it as is. Local pick up is OK. I'll try to add it now but If I can't, the new title at youtube is Denon DP-52F Direct Drive Turntable, Take 2.On Dec-25-23 at 13:30:05 PST, seller added the following information:By the way, the additional video test on the tonearm return at the runout was successful, but only with the Julie London disc. With the Patsy Cline disc the arm would hit track one then immediately return to rest. I cannot explain that.
