This vintage Conn trumpet was my grandfather's and I believe it was purchased new in the 1920's when he was in high school. It was passed down to me because I am also a brass player and I was willing to take care of it. It includes a modern and sturdy case to help protect it (see photos). It would be perfect for any musician or collector who appreciates vintage brass instruments like this. With its unique Bb/A switch capability and optional C tuning slides, this instrument is fine example of how well brass instruments were made in the early 20th century to be versatile.I have kept the slides lubricated and the valves oiled. The corks on the water keys were replaced a few years ago and look to be in good shape. The pictures included in this listing show that it has been well-maintained for its age and was certainly well-played back in the day. The “Brilliance” mute that is included (see photo) would need some new cork to be usable again.
