This was mine long ago, probably mid-1940s.
Measures 22 5/8 inches long, 25 3/4 inches high and 14 3/4 inches wide.
Solid wood frame, plywood bottom. Frame sound, dark mahogany(?) finish in good condition. Finials appear to have had a gold-colored overtint originally, now worn but still visible.
Canopy, dust ruffle and one pillow in yellow print cotton fabric. Dust ruffle and canopy faded, pillow bright but stained. Buttonhole stitching around canopy's finial holes missing in spots. Canopy skirt shows nice repair job on tears. No tears on dust ruffle and pillow.
Mattress fabric seems to be lightweight duck, with a hard finish, in a carnival motif on a faded fern-green background.
The satin comforter and matching pillow have faded to a champagne; I honestly can't remember the original color. This fabric shows some stains, too.
The photos below show the bed:
1. Fully dressed.
2. Bare.
3. With mattress.
4. With comforter.
