It is difficult to see, but this horn does have some old style floral engraving of the type that was common in the pre-WWII era. I think I can just barely make out that it says Elkhart on the bell, but I can't see the brand name. The serial number 195107 is stamped on each of the valves. This instrument is being sold as is for parts or repair. This is a former school horn that has been retired by the district that owned it. As such, it has school ID markings hand etched on the bell, and written on the case. This horn should not be considered playable in its current state. I'll describe its defects to the best of my ability, but please understand that I am not an expert on this type of instrument (I'm a woodwind guy), so I might miss something. Also, check the pictures closely, and if in doubt, ask questions! The rim of the bell isn't bent. There are minor dings, pings, and nicks throughout, but no significant dents. There are a few resoldered joints. None of the slides are stuck. There is a patch soldered onto the main slide. All of the pistons and lower valve caps could be removed. The pistons are moving freely and rebounding properly, but they could undoubtedly use some cleaning and lubrication. They sound a bit clicky too, so they probably need new felts. The lacquer is probably not original. It shows significant wear, scratching, and scuffing throughout. This horn comes in a modern Kases brand case. It is in good condition with minimal wear and tear. There are no mouthpieces, nor any other accessories included. Please feel free to message me with any questions! Thanks again for looking!MPSlot4-51
