The serial number is 60651. It is silver plated. This instrument is being sold as is for parts or repair. This is a former school horn that has been retired by the district that owned it. This horn might well be playable in its current state, but to be on the safe side please assume that it will need work. I'll describe its defects to the best of my ability, but please understand that I am not an expert on this type of instrument (I'm a woodwind guy), so I might miss something. Also, check the pictures closely, and if in doubt, ask questions! The rim of the bell doesn't appear to have ever been bent. There are no significant dents or dings, but there are a handful of minor pings, and nicks, including on the tuning slides. There are multiple re-solder joints, several of which were done rather poorly. None of the slides are stuck. All of the pistons and lower valve caps could be removed. The pistons are moving smoothly and rebounding quickly. The silver plate finish is well worn, all the way through to the underlying brass in several spots. This horn comes in a newer Bundy case that is in decent shape. It is missing one of the exterior bumpers, but there is no other damage to the plastic shell. The inside is worn and has some loose fabric. There is no mouthpiece, nor any other accessories included. Please feel free to message me with any questions! Thanks again for looking!MPSlot4
