Vintage 1902 Ashton Blowtorch (#240) $49

　　Attention Antique Tool CollectorsOne of a Kind - must buy!

　　This is a unique and rare brass gasoline blowtorch with a wooden handle manufactured by the Ashton MFG. Co. located in Newark N.J. USA. The trade mark is REDHOT dated from March 18, 1902. These were used by plumbers to weld pipes and metal sinks and used by mechanics in garages and gas stations at the turn of the century. These types of blowtorches were used to heat up lead joints on galvanized pipes before propane was available.

　　This is a collectable and a display only item that is over 110 years old and still in very good shape and it was made in USA. It has some dings and scratches, but those add character and endorse its age. It could use some cleaning, but it displays well as it is with the rustic and antiquated appearance. If this could only talk; history is just oozing out of it.

　　This would make a great addition to any antique tool collection! It is also very cool looking and would look neat on any mantel or workshop.
