Vera's story
Meet Vera
Vera was used to wander at a construction site with heavy traffic around. The environment was a dangerous one for lack of safety and a good living condition. We are not sure the reason why Vera went there, was it because of starvation? And how long she had been wandering? Perhaps some construction workers gave her some leftover food, but the busy traffic of those construction trucks could easily kill her. When our rescuers found her, she was weak with skin problems, along with a poor health condition. Rescuers took Vera away to the vet and gave her proper vaccine injections and had her spayed. Treatments and related medical checkups followed.
Vera is a five-year-old girl currently arranged in our foster family. She has a mild temperament
when she is eating, if other dogs approach, she would give way to them. Initially when she was taken to the foster family, she would quietly stand aside watching other dogs play, or sleep alone chewing on her own blanky. When going for a walk, Vera heels well within the eyesight. She is easily harnessed, too. She follows where her foster daddy goes. We think the happiest moment for her is when she takes a walk with her foster daddy; she feels much younger when she is outside, enjoying running and seeing what's out there.
Vera is now ready and longing for a permanent place to call home. We are looking for a sweet and loving family who can dote on a grown-up dog like her. We are so anticipating.
