My story

　　Venus is a beautiful, young 3 month old, active shepherdy-type mix who is very bright and loves daily activity. She’s got an independent streak and can entertain herself solo with bones and toys and she’s doing well with crate training- but only if that is balanced that with lots of active play time like hiking, jogging, playing fetch, and we could even envision her learning to run alongside a bike for maximum exercise! She is very intelligent and has mastered sit/stay while in foster care and is in process of learning lay down, leave it and come. She responds very well to rewards! Venus has been fostered around young children and cats and other dogs, as well has experienced horse exposure. She does well with everyone, as long as her energy is balanced by exercise. The ideal home for Venus has a strong male presence. Venus responds more obediently to male energy and needs a strong alpha who can help her learn her place in the pack. Venus also needs a large amount of space to run and play, she was living her happiest life when visiting an 8 acre horse ranch to zoomie around! Venus will require adopters who have an active lifestyle and are committed to puppy school and continued training. Venus is recommended to be in a home only with children over age 10 and we do not recommend her with cats.
