This 8-string mandolin was made by VEGA in Boston, USA. The deep bowl body style and unknown top and body material give this instrument a unique sound. It has been well-loved and is in fair condition.  This mandolin belonged to my father and he died in 1978 so we know this is vintage.  I don't know anything about this musical instrument.  I do know the gold like inlays are beautiful and I like the silver touches on it.  There is a crack in the front/top and I think you can see it in the pictures.  It is 8 strings and does play but way out of tune.  I would like someone to repair it or perhaps use it for parts.  I will  take it to UPS for shipping.  Thank you.
