My story
Introducing Sadie! According to her foster mom, Sadie is a cuddle bug that is just about 9 years old. Her owners went through a divorce and Sadie’s mom had to be away from her too much after the divorce. Sadie came to me with separation anxiety which she has gotten over. She has been on weight management food for 4 months as her initial weight was 55 lbs. She is now 40 lbs. and is on sensitive stomach and skin food that is working wonders for her coat and skin.
Sadie loves the freedom to run without a leash and run the fence perimeter. She would love to chase rabbits and squirrels. She walks fairly well on a lead or harness, but is still a big puller. But she needs space to run. She is very loyal and watches over her person. She loves chew toys. She is ok with other dogs as long as they don’t rush to her face. Sadie would do best as an only dog.
Sadie is my fifth Brittany; she is the most affectionate one to date. In the evening she will snuggle up for attention till its time to go to her room to sleep. She will give you her paw or bark when its time to go out. She is house broken and there haven’t been any accidents.
Sadie is Heart worm negative and in good health and up to date on all vacines. She is microchipped, her hearing and sight are very good. She does have dry itchy skin and has been on Apoquel for six months. She walks into the shower for her bath and gives you about 15 minutes to towel dry her.
If you are looking for a great family pet that likes to travel in the car, golf cart or patrol the perimeter of the fenced yard / property she is your girl. She will keep the bunnies and squirrels from eating your flowers and shrubs on your fenced property. She will need a four-to-five-foot fence. Sadie will check out the bottom of the fence for escape routes but I haven’t seen her try to dig out. Sadie loves being out side with her people but enjoys the comfort of dog beds and bed pillows to grab a nap in between bird watching out the window and running outside.
