Valentino is a sweet, very shy little dog that is looking for a quiet home with a very kind-hearted person(s) and their equally kind dog.

　　Valentino is 6-10 years old and weighs 7 pounds.

　　Valentino is incredibly skittish, but helping him slowly come out of his shell is a wonderful experience.

　　We don't know his past, only that he was found by a levee with 2 other little dogs.

　　Valentino loves slow walks, being near his foster mom or canine foster siblings, and cheese.

　　Val won't win any beauty contests: One of his eyes is bigger than the other.

　　He has a bald patch on his back probably from living for years with fleas. He has a hernia thats inoperable but isn't a problem. His teeth are worn to nubs probably from spending a lot of time locked in a small space with nothing to do and so he chewed on who knows what. Rocks? The crate?

　　But somehow all of these things add up to make an incredibly endearing package.

　　People make Valentino very nervous, but he will take treats from strangers if they move slow and the treats are good. He is still hand shy, even with his foster mom, and often has to be backed into a corner to be picked up, but when held he settles into your arms or sits quietly by your side while you enjoy a good book.

　　Valentino is 100% house trained and knows how to use a dog door.

　　Valentino is very submissive, because of this dogs that have any tendency to bully can be mean to him.

　　We would really like another dog in the home that is as sweet and gentle as Val is.

　　Valentino progresses a bit every day and watching him blossom is rewarding.
