TYLER
2 yr Year Old Male
GREAT PYRENEES
Tyler was a thin 75 lbs at the shelter but he has a healthy appetite and is starting to gain weight. When fully grown, he may weigh upwards of 130 lbs. Tyler is very gentle but does not always know his own strength. He loves to play with all toys, absolutely loves them. He likes chasing balls, chewing on bones, playing with ropes, and flinging things in the air. He also enjoys wrestling and running around with like size dogs and is thrilled to get belly rubs. He learned quickly not to jump on people and knows sit and a few other commands. His instinct to guard his home and his people is very strong but he is ok if small dogs take his toys away! Tyler is friendly with female dogs of all sizes but his playfulness combined with his size is too much for smaller dogs and for small children. He has not yet been around too many male dogs. Socialization with people will be necessary as this breed is often more comfortable left alone guarding the flock. He is house broken and knows how to use a dog door. He is up-to-date on his shots, chipped, neutered and ready to meet a loving family. Tyler needs someone willing to take the time to properly socialize and train him. He will become a devoted and very affectionate companion, given time and consistency. He is funny and smart. His preference is men but using a slow introduction, he is very loving and attentive to females too. Please review the breed characteristics of the Great Pyrenees breed.
