Description

  My story

Hello, my name is Scout Too.  I turned three years old in Jan and I am an orange/white neutered 45 #  good Brittany boy.  I am housebroken; I don’t chew things that don’t belong to me; and I don’t counter surf.   I am utd on all my vaccines, HW/Tick neg, microchipped, housebroken and on HW/FT Prevention.

I do like to have a special place on the couch to lie down with my blankie.  My favorite things are running and stalking squirrels.  Right now, I am living in a city neighborhood with lots and lots of squirrels to stalk.  I can run and jump and follow them all around the yard.  I can also go on long walks or runs on something called a hike and bike trail.  There are lots of other people, dogs, strollers, and bikes on those trails.  I’m not too interested in those things because there are also lots of squirrels!  I really only pay attention when someone asks if they can pet me, which I love, or if I am introduced to a friend’s dog.  Then I want to play!   Yesterday I joined my foster family for dinner at a restaurant where dogs were allowed on the patio.  It was nice because I got to be outside and look at the world passing by…a world full of squirrels.  I am looking forward to finding my forever family and I hope my new home has plenty of squirrels.

From Foster Mom:  Scout is right – he is a very good boy.  He has a sweet disposition and communicates through a range of vocalizations but doesn’t bark much.  He has not displayed any bad habits indoors but would benefit from consistent crate, leash, and obedience training.  He likes to be with people but has fared well in the house alone as well.  He would flourish in a large yard with a 5  ft watertight (Brittany-tight?) fence. He will find that hole and I caught him squeezing under the gate our very first day in foster care.  I would not recommend a household with cats.
