My story

　　Tweed is one of our longest term HSN residents. He came to Humane Society Naples as a transfer from another shelter in January 2020. He is a staff and volunteer favorite because he is such a comedian with a heart of gold. Tweed LOVES new toys, so bringing him a present is a great way to win him over. He is so happy when he sees his favorite people, his wagging tail makes his whole body wag! Don't you want to be the person who inspires such devotion?

　　Tweed's favorite things include belly rubs, lizard hunting, and rolling in the grass on a sunny day. He enjoys going on walks, but shorter ones are best as he has been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy (treatment cost covered by a generous donor and the HSN Clinic). Tweed will do best in a quiet home relishing his role as the center of attention.

　　Tweed is a senior pooch who is a member of our Senior Dog Care Club so you'll receive $500 to use at our clinic that can be used for goods and services to help keep him healthy.

　　Ready to adopt? This dog is at our Oaks facility and will require an appointment to meet. Appointments can be made Tuesday - Sunday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. If you would like to set an appointment or have any questions, contact Humane Society Naples at

　　All of our canines are spayed or neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on vaccinations, receive monthly parasite prevention, and we offer free behavior support for the lifetime of your pet. We also include a free collar and leash in your adoption package.
