　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's Home for the Holidays campaign aims to have as many homeless pets home by the end of December as possible! During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40! Make a cat's Christmas wish come true!

　　This beautiful fuzzy girl is Oreo, a black and white/Tuxedo kitten with beautiful spots on her face! A very original look! Her hair is a bit fuzzy and long, so she could be medium-haired or long-haired as an adult. But she won't be short-haired. We're taking bets on what color her eyes will turn - it's either green or yellow, maybe an in-between chartreuse. Oreo is a small kitten at only 5 months old (11/4). Oreo is a playful girl! She can be a little shy around bigger cats, but she enjoys playing with the other kittens. Oreo hasn't been around dogs before, but she has been sweet and gentle with children while at our adoption center. She loves to snuggle with other cats, but really loves when he can snuggle with a person. She'd do well with other cats or as an only pet. Stop into our cat adoption center to meet Oreo!

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors (19 and under, in the state of Alabama). Read up on our adoption process .
