　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　This beautiful young lady is named after the beautiful actress Liv Tyler, and is approximately 1 1/2 years old (will be 1 year, 6 mos. around 9/30). She a very pretty Tuxedo girl with gorgeous light green eyes. Liv is a very sweet, affectionate young "teenager" who loves to socialize, no matter who she's sitting next to! She does great with other friendly cats. She's calm and gentle, and should do well around children who can gently handle her. We aren't sure how well she'd do around dogs - she's never been around them before.

　　Liv was rescued in a tornado-damaged area of Tuscaloosa back on April 27th, 2011, and was bottle-fed by a long-time volunteer who's given her a home for a long time, but can't give her a forever home. She's always been surrounded by people and knows she's meant to be a part of a family. Contact us or visit our cat adoption center to meet Liv!

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors (19 and under, in the state of Alabama). Read up on our adoption process .
