　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's Home for the Holidays campaign aims to have as many homeless pets home by the end of December as possible! During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40! Make a cat's Christmas wish come true!

　　Please come in and meet this handsome young teenager by the name of Grover! He's a cute and sweet solid black male domestic shorthair with a little white patch on his chest. Grover is around 1 year of age (10/12), but he still thinks and acts like a baby!! Grover has a very friendly disposition, a warm personality that would make an excellent cuddle partner. Grover likes being around other cats and enjoys having them as companions, but we've noticed he prefers hanging out with people over other furry buddies. If we're around, he'll ignore his friends and come hang out with us. We feel so honored! Grover would do well either with kitty siblings or as an only pet! Grover has been very gentle, even while playing around, so we think he could do well with kids. Please stop in at our cat adoption center to meet Grover!

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors/legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
