　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40! Make a cat's Christmas wish come true!

　　This gorgeous lady is Snowy, a very sweet young lady at approximately 2-3 years of age. She's a medium- to long-haired solid white Siamese mix with gorgeous baby blue eyes. She actually looks exactly like a pure white Turkish Angora. Snowy is an affectionate, low-energy lady. She's enjoying lots of attention at the cat adoption center! She's involved with what people are doing around her, even lending a paw to "help out!" Whether it's cleaning, organizing, tying shoelaces. . .she's so helpful! When she isn't being so generous, she's a sweet and slightly lazy lounger who's perfectly content curling up for a little cat nap. She's happy to greet volunteers when we come in to the adoption center, so we know she'll be even happier to greet someone at the door every day in a new home! She's easy to handle, and isn't a fussy girl, quite the polite lady! Snowy is doing great around other cats and has been gentle around children, but we aren't sure how well she handles dogs. She could also do well as an only pet - we think she wouldn't mind being stingy with all the attention! Snowy would not do well around another dominant animal. 　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors/legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process . Then, if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt this cat, submit an online application form.
