Turkish Angora - Snowbird - Extra Large - Adult - Male - Cat

　　I like to call you people winter visitors. But with all due respect I have named this big guy 'Snowbird'. He probably weighs in at about 14 pounds and growing. He was found all chewed up from bad fight and very thin. This male cat is a delight. He graces my computer room and sits behind me on the chair. He talks to me like a back seat driver telling me what to do on the computer. I tell him not to boss me around. I have him isolated because, as is the case with many big Tom cats, he has tested positive for FIV. This cat has what is called Feline Aids(feline immunologic virus). It is not contagious to humans and is spread mostly through bite wounds. Although, you would never know it in his robust condition. These big male cats we refer to as 'The Big Boys of CHARM'. Our group CHARM helps many big male cats because they are the first to be killed and the last to be adopted. Despite the FIV that many get from the bite wounds of fighting, they can and do live long lives. Snowbird is pure snow white. As handsome as can be. His head is large and we are waiting to get a dental appointment to remove the teeth he broke in the fight. He is now fixed, had shots and has a microchip. His pink ears, nose and toes really send me. Blah, blah, blah. Remember cats own you. So, don't adopt him unless you like being told what to do. If you give him canned food he has a bliss attack. But at least then he'll sleep for a while. He likes to be patted and kissed but not much of a lap kitty. Give it time. Very good litter box habits.
