True vintage beautiful Parlour Guitar. The guitar has no markings (except for the name GREENE carved in top of the headstock)From my research , I believe this to be a Regal from approximately the 1 era. When I bought it , the neck was loosely attached to the body by a machine screw and nut. I cleaned up the joint as best I could , glued and clamped it , using a new machine screw and nut for strength ...and crossed my fingers. The result was a success! The guitar stays in tune and plays pretty well. The action is on the high side ..but not terrible. The tone is what you would expect: nice and skanky. A REAL acoustic blues guitar. It sounds great with Open G or D tunings . I have it strung with silk and steel extra lights.Check the pictures: There are a few holes in the fretboard where screws used to be. You could fill these with dot markers pretty easily. There is also 1 fret "missing" where the neck connects to the body . A piece of fret wire will fix that. All in all , a nice 100 year old guitar , that is totally playable. The body , binding , bracing etc are all very solid. No case but the guitar will be packed very well with tons of bubble wrap.Feel free to ask any questions! and GOOD LUCK!
