Benge 165F trombone .547 bore. serial number on bell brace: 5 602889serial number on slide braces: F 4034This old beauty plays great. Slide is a 10/10. (even without any lube)Beautiful red brass bell in excellent shape and has maybe a few very minute 'dings' somewhere if you look hard to find them. Some lacquer wear on outer slide, hand area, neck areas, etc. due to age, but nothing terrible at all. - I bought this horn from Ben Griffen (Shires) a few years ago on his recommendation when I was looking for something that plays like a cross between a Conn 88H and a Bach 42B. There are some great threads in Trombone Chat about love for the Benge 165F !(I'm pursuing small bore interests right now, so that's why I'm selling this.)Of other note:- I'll include the generic counterweight I bought from Hickey's, when I took Mike Corrigan's (BAC) thoughts about trying a counterweight and their beneficial effect on trombones when placed in a good place that mysteriously helps a horn resonate even more. (it works!....horn played great before, but subjectively even nicer with a counterweight)- will also include SOM Classic slide lube, because the slide seems to love it and lasts for days and days when using the SOM Classic (for me anyways)- case has some tape on the end of one bell side in order to help strengthen the old seam. (fine for shipping and for actual gig useage, as everything about the case is otherwise fine) Sell for $895.Will include shipping in continental USA only.
