Trapper, 3 yr, Shepherd/Retriever x, 50lb, male.

　　Hi, I'm Trapper. I like running in the yard and having snacks and going for long walks! I am fearful of new people and need a little while to warm up. I was originally a stray dog and still am learning to trust new people. I do excellent with my people and volunteers here at the shelter that I am familiar with. I tend to prefer women but can get along with some men well too! I wouldn't do well in a home with kids under 15.

　　I do like other dogs and really like to play hard and run fast. Some dogs may find me overwhelming so I would do best with dogs around my energy level. I would not be a good fit for a home with cats.

　　I have excellent house manners and am a clean cut guy. I have just enough fur to have fun playing in the snow but not so much I have to be brushed every day. I really enjoy the outdoors but I need to stay on the leash or in a fenced yard. I would do fine with a normal amount of alone time. My ideal home would be with one or two adults and maybe another dog like me (or I could be an only pet)!
