　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　Please meet Zara, a beautiful young female Tortoiseshell. Her medium-length fur is the shorter side of medium everywhere but her face - she has fluffy cheeks! So adorable! She's still a kitten at maybe 6 or 7 months, but we don't believe she'll get much bigger as an adult. She's only app. 6 lbs. right now, and will likely stay at or close to her petite size.

　　Zara is a friendly, playful young girl! She loves zipping around cat towers and condos. She socializes well around other cats, as long as she's allowed adjustment time and a little patience to get used to another cat. Zara should do well around older children, but we aren't sure how she'd handle dogs. Please stop in at our cat adoption center or contact us to meet Zara! Click HERE to apply to adopt me!

　　Negative for FIV/FeLK, current on vaccinations and spayed.

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors or legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
