Toby's story
Saucy Sosa, so caramel and so cute, is one half of a darling doggy duo whose other half is lovable, licorice and taffy Toby. Wherever Sosa is, tenderly protective Toby is certain to be nearby. After having lived outside for three years, they're now basking in the warmth of their foster home, and although shy with new people, once the pair has grown comfortable in their presence, they're supremely sweet, affectionate and snuggly. Toby "dances" and "prays" to get his foster mom's attention and "coos" when he's happy or excited. For her part, Sosa begs for affection by standing on her hind legs and either reaching up to her foster mom or jumping into her lap for the cuddles she craves. Whereas Toby has begun to initiate play with the other dogs, Sosa doesn't join in, and neither dog shows any interest in toys, choosing instead to chill out together in their crate or sit with their foster mom on the sofa. Motivated by food, affection and praise, they know "come" and "sit", are working on "stay" and "off", and despite the odd quirk or two, are the most companionable of pups. After entering our care, Toby had one tooth removed and a hernia repaired, and Sosa had 14 teeth removed, and now that they're the healthiest and happiest they've ever been, they MUST be placed together in the same loving home.
