Tipsy's story
She was put through a program called New Beginnings Canine where dogs are paired with the Department of Corrections inmates who come in and work with the dogs 7 days a week. Tipsy was a perfect candidate for this program since her behavior can be fear based. They helped Tipsy grow her confidence with people, as well as become more confident with her self.
She has grown in maturity while here in the shelter she has become much more confident with new people, new surroundings and different every day situations. Tipsy has come a long way since she was brought in to our facility.
Tipsy bonds closely to one person. Will bark for a few minutes when left alone, she has been left in the behavior programs supervisors office and did not seem destructive. She was left for about 45 minutes at a time.
Tipsy is very sweet and wonderful when she gets to know you. She will make someone a wonderful companion, she enjoys learning and working. She would make someone a wonderful agility dog or even a barn hunt dog.
