My story
Tippy is a female lab/shepherd mix. She is microchipped, UTD on vaccines & her spay appointment is scheduled. She weighs around 35lbs.
Tippy came to us from Mexico where she survived the streets & raised two sweet pups. She has totally warmed up to living indoors & learning a new routine.
She gets along with other dogs & all sized humans. She is learning how to play with other dogs & toys have peaked her interest. She will sleep anywhere she can fit & will snuggle up with any 4-legged friend she can. When she arrived, it took her a few days to learn how to come through a door. She has since gained enough confidence to make her way through (with some words of encouragement). She still has accidents but goes potty outside when she has access. She is very food/treat motivated & loves getting belly rubs. She wants to please.
She got her name because she does a little tap dance when she gets excited or right before she gets the zoomies! She will need to go to a home with a secured, attached yard as she has never been on a walk with a harness/leash - that concept will come with time. She is looking for a family with no expectations of her, a family with patience, love & time to allow her to adjust & gain even more confidence/trust in herself & her new family.
She is a beautiful girl with so much love to give despite what she's been through. Please complete an adoption application at & you will be contacted within 48hrs if your application fits her needs.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tippy, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
