My story

　　Meet our tiniest Underdog, Timothy J. Walker! His people call him, Timmy or TJ (and its T. Dog to his real close peeps). This tiny (hes only 3 lbs!) Walker Texas Ranger hails from the endlessly heartbreaking streets of Houstons Fifth Ward. Timmy was found abandoned in a milk crate on the side of the street, paralyzed with a broken back, deep bite wounds in his neck and huge open sores on his back flanks and feet. There was also a dog crate and empty food and water bowls left close behind him. Luckily, one of our favorite street rescuers found him in time to save his life. Timmy has come such a long way with rehab and hydrotherapy (and a whole lot of love from his foster home) and has regained partial use of one of his back legs. Timmy now gets around the world with cutest most endearing little kick-leg scoot. You can see Timmy on the move around second 43 here: https://youtu.be/9RV1TVJKXbw. Timmy is sweet, smart, and spunky. Despite his heartbreaking past that has left him with limited movement in his back legs, Timmy is a buddy always on the move. He loves to play tug, is still mastering fetch, and loves a good romp in the back yard. Timmy is also an excellent couch napper. He's crate trained, and goes into his crate on his own at night, and waits to be tucked in. He generally sleeps through the night, only fussing when he hears you get up.Timmy's biggest joy in life is being with his people. Though he has access to the entire upstairs of his foster's house (the main part) during the day, but he is often sitting at her feet under my desk while I work, and leaning up against my leg, looking up at her adoringly. At night, he loves his couch time with his people. As long as hes touching someone, hes a pretty happy boy. Knowing this, we'd love to find him a home with a WFH human, however that looks for his new people, retired, homemaker, work from home professional etc.Timmy enjoys canine companions of all sizes, but I think he would prefer a smaller, younger friend to play with. A large uncarpeted area of the house would be ideal for him. He has the tiniest little bark (we think his vocal cords were damaged during whatever past trauma he suffered). Timmy is a big fan of treats, and enjoys a wide variety of foods from carrots to more traditional treats. He definitely wants a bite of whatever youre eating. He can be a bit princely at times, and will move as slowly as possible in a narrow hallway in front of you, expecting that he will be picked up and cuddled. Timmy will also need a forever human willing to help express his bladder. He is able to go #2 on his own, but his previous injury damaged the nerve that allows him to go #1 on his own. Bladder expression is pretty easy, once you get the hang of it, and actually makes bathroom breaks far more efficient :).
