My story
Absolutely gorgeous Tia is ready for a new home. Tia the Tiny Tap Dancer taps her front feet with joy as she sees a moving reflection/light. She likes to play with all her stuffed toys, chases reflections or stares at them for a long time. Pulled from a Utah shelter, she is really a different dog now from that first couple of weeks out of the shelter. She is a most beautiful and comical Dal. Tia is also DEAF so will need an understanding adopter willing to continue with sign language training (you don't have to know official sign language - just the willingness to learn appropriate signs so that she knows what you're telling her to do). Tia is completely house trained and crate trained (she even naps in her crate sometimes). She is good with people, and is calm inside a normal, quiet house. Small children make her quite nervous, however, so no little kids. Tia needs some leash training, pulling for the first 10 minutes or so on a walk; after that, she is manageable. So, does anyone need company to jog? She would be perfect. She is somewhat food driven, so we recommend feeding separately. Tia can be a little reactive towards some dogs, but totally ignores others. Slow introductions to new dogs would be a must. She is afraid of the dark but, by putting a leash on her, she goes out and does her business and then heads back inside quickly (so it may not be a bad thing at all). If you are interested in this precious girl, please contact Jeannine at [email protected]. Tia is located in Arizona. Tia's adoption donation is $400. If interested in this dog, please go to and submit an application for adoption. Under Adoptions, please read our adoption policy. We must have an application before we can begin the adoption process and each dog does have foster contact listed.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Tia, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
