Hello-
His name is Happy Capote. He is out of Triple Crown Seattle Slew. Seattle slew foaled the famous Capote and Happy from him. He has several races under his belt, won a few intil he fractured his coffin bone. He was done. The vet believes, with corrective shoeing, he will make a great trail horse but nothing performace wise. The previous owner bought him from the track and his intentions were to turn him around into a hunter/jumper not knowing about his left front foot problem. He had him vet checked and x rayed and found the fracture. I board my other two horses at the same facility as Copote. The owner was upset and wanted to take him and put him down but first asked me if I wanted him. I really could not see a 5 year old, beautiful character and physically amazing, being put down like that. I took Capote, but really cant afford to feed him with my other two. So I would like to see this amazing animal go to a good home. The vet said he can be a trail horse but will need full bar shoes and clips to protect his sole. I need help. I wish I could afford him, but just cant. Anyone interested in saving this highly charasmatic horse? I'm not 100% sure his name is Happy Capote or Cappy as the previous owner has not given me his papers. I will talk to him again to get his pedigree and jockey records. He is about 16'1 or so and a dark brown with a beautiful head. I will try to put some pictures up soon. Right now he resides with me and my other two at the south denver polo fields near Louviers
Thanks for your help
Matt
