The Golden Girls's story
Meet the Golden Girls, Addie and Fuzzie!! When these girls crossed our path in late June, we honestly did not know if we could help them. They were spotted by a volunteer laying in curbside water that had gathered. Too afraid to allow us to touch them, they were lured by food into a back yard where they stayed for two months! We immediately treated their tick infestation orally and for the next 8 weeks, volunteers would come and sit with the girls in hopes of gaining trust. It took weeks for us to touch them, our only saving grace was their food motivation. Fast forward to today; the Golden Girls LOVE to go on walks, they are still working on not fearing car rides, they are house broken and learning that not all hands harm. We generally do not adopt out in pairs, in fact; we have never posted a pair as "bonded" but in this case, these two would not survive without the other. Even if we separate them for vet visits, they crumble. We must be clear and state that the girls still have moments of fear, however, they will thrive with a safe, happy routine. They love to be the company of humans. We believe they are mother/daughter, never experiencing love or kindness until they crossed our path. They will need to be the only pets in the house as Addie, the daughter, is not dog social. However, these two love each other and that is all they need. If you are interested in adopting this Golden Girls ($200 adoption donation for both), please take a moment and fill out our application. Please note that applications are required to begin the adoption process. Thank you, we will get back to you within 48 hours of receipt: /adoption-form
