This is a print titled "La Cigale: is by the French artist Emile Pierre Metzmacher (1). The story "La Cigale" is based on the tale by the French fabulist La Fontaine about the grasshopper and the ant. The grasshopper - la cigale in French (actually cigale translates as cricket) - is played by Marton.The print is in excellent condition.  I took it out to clean the frame.  The frame is in fair to good condition except for the back stand. It needs to be replaced. It is old but has no information on it.
