My story

　　Tex is a 4 month old Blue Heeler Mix and is a sweet boy who LOVES people. He is a big cuddler and loves playing Keeps! (like Fetch but he keeps the ball) He does tend to think that the world is his chew toy. Tex doesn’t always understand that when he growls other puppies don’t want to play with him, but we love him anyways! 

　　Tex would do best in a home who either has a six-foot fence or can provide one in the future as this pupper is still growing. Puppy school and training is encouraged to help these doggos be their very best! 

　　The adoption fee is $400.00, tax not included, and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission.  If you have otherdogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.  It may save you a trip to bring them with youwhen you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.

　　*****We are currently operating by appointment only due to a shortage of personnel.   If you want tomeet this pet, please go to and click Adopt.  Then scroll down toOnline Application and select Dog Application.   Your application will be reviewed and you will be contactedto set up a time to meet at the shelter or the foster home.   The introduction between you and the pet will besupervised by one of the dog counselors or the foster.   If all goes well, you can adopt during the same visit. Ifyou have a dog or dogs currently, a meet and greet with the dog is also required but can be done at the sametime.
