My story
Please go to our website at to find out more about this pet and to submit an adoption application. Please DO NOT call or email us; all information about current dogs available, adoption donations, vetting, and this specific dog are on our website. We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Health Notes | Other Dogs | Molly wants to play with any and all other dogs, typical puppy. Seems to thrive having an older dog to follow and look up to and is learning to listen and follow commands by watching the older dogs. When the grumpy older dogs growl at her she heeds their warning and finds something else to play with.Cats | So far so good. She is curious about cats and will go up to the cat, but doesn't chase the cat when it runs away. Still a little early to tell, but seems to be doing well and has enough fear of them to not chase. She has found the litter box and that was not pretty. Currently keeping a baby gate in front of the box works well to keep her from it.Children | Training | Potty training is going excellent. No accidents at all in kennel at night, but does get taken out at night at 4 hr intervals. During the day she tends to need to go more often, but has not had an accident in the house in almost 4 days. She is learning to use the doggie door and uses it consistently when it is taped up and open. Working on lowering the flaps. She sits for treats, and is learning to come to her name "Molly" when called. She seems to understand the word "no" when she's trying to chew on something she isn't supposed to and will stop. She is learning to sit for wiping wet paws and does really well with having her feet touched and wiped. Important to mention she is teething, and biting and chewing on anything she can get her mouth on. We are working with redirection when those things are something that is not acceptable. She enjoys cold, full size carrots to chew on, working those back teeth. Leash | Activity Level | Typical puppy energy...play hard for a couple of hours, crash hard for a couple of hours. But I've never seen a puppy sleep so hard at night in her kennel. And when she does wake, she will play with a toy quietly and not whine. We are taking her out at 4hr intervals at night. She has about an hour, first thing in the morning, of pure crazy where all she wants to do is bite and chew and play, but calms down after that first hour and settles. Personality | So incredibly sweet, very laid back other than her crazy hour. Self entertains well in a pile of toys. She seems to do the best when other dogs are around though, and doesn't get into mischief. When dogs aren't around, she can go exploring and find trouble, like any puppy. As long as another dog is in the room with her, she seems to do what they do or play near them by herself. She loves being outside, and would stay outside all day if we would let her. Laying in the yard watching birds and cows seems to be a favorite thing to do. Story | Thank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. March 20, 2023, 5:36 am
