Terrier - Sara - Medium - Young - Female - Dog

　　Sara is a year old 32 lb who-knows-what-mix looking for a special home! She is shown here laying on her bed quietly at her foster home, playing with her friend Balou who's since been adopted (they loved chasing each other!), and taking a dip in the water in one of our play yards. She is crate-trained, house-trained, loves to play with her toys and really enjoys attention. She was picked up off the beach in Mexico as a puppy by her original owners (they kept her for almost a year) and can be fearful in certain situations. She is therefore looking for a home with two things: 1) no small children; 2) an owner who is willing to put in the time and effort to work with her. Her favorite friends here have been big male dogs. Sara was recently in foster with our behavior assistant. Says her foster "Sara will make a wonderful companion for the right person. She sleeps silently in her crate at night. By day she relaxes nicely on her bed and likes to chew on her bones or play with her toys. She enjoys going running and runs like a champ right next to me with a loose leash on her gentle leader. She's been to training class with 9 other dogs.
