Terrier - Katy - Small - Young - Female - Dog

　　Although she is under a year old, Katy had a rough start in life. She was on the mean streets of Stockton with her mom and litter mate for the first few months, but then her litter mate was killed by a predator and her mom was struck by a car. Luckily, a kind-hearted person took her in and introduced her to living with humans as an inside dog, took care of her shots and spay and through a rescue network she has found her way to Happy Tails.

　　Katy is shy, but very loving and gentle. She is extremely quiet. She gets along OK with children but would be best in a home with human companions who are mellow and over six or seven years old. With time, this may change. She is still very young! Her foster is working on reading her ?I have to go out? signals and her potty training is going well. Katy is currently in a foster home where she spends a lot of time with her main person, and would be best adopted into a similar home.

　　She lived with other dogs before coming to Happy Tails and she would be fine in a home with other dogs. She is small and expected to remain under 15 lbs.
