Terada built a lot of beautiful high quality guitars in Japan during its era of dominance in guitar manufacturing. This one bears the "Inspected by" stamp of M. Terada himself so it is quite special. The headstock has multiple veneer layers that produce a nice effect around the headstock. The bracing is excellent -- fan bracing using 7 braces. The top is tight-grained cedar and the back and sides are absolutely stunning maple. The neck and headstock is a single piece of skillfully carved mahogany. The only damage: two small nicks to the top, both on the treble side and both shown in the photos. The tone is mesmerizing. Projection, sustain, volume . . . acoustically this guitar is outstanding. The top and bottom of the body are bound, with purfling also surrounding the top.Overall length 39 5/8 inchesWidest bout 14 3/4 inchesNut width 52 mmScale length 654 mmAction at the 12th fret: 6th string 3.5 mm, 1st string 2.75 mmVintage chipboard case included (fair condition, all latches work)New electronic clip-on tunerVintage capo includedNew humidifier includedBound fretboardNew bone saddle 8/14/23New nylon strings 8/14/23Frets crowned and polished 8/14/23Fretboard cleaned and oiled 8/14/23Brazilian rosewood heel capBrazilian rosewood bridgeStand (and the numerous guitars in the background) not included
