My story
(Please note: Taz is listed as a Xolo here because Peruvian Inca Orchid is not a breed choice on Adopt-A-Pet. He is a pure Peruvian, NOT a Xolo)Say hello to Taz! This gorgeous boy is a young standard-sized (approx 45 lb) Peruvian Inca Orchid, one of the most primitive of all dog breeds. Please read his description carefully and make sure you can meet all of his requirements. If you can't, please do not apply. He must go to a very specific type of home. Please research the breed before considering him. His breed requires a great deal of exercise to be happy and calm. He needs a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run, and he also needs someone to be home a lot of the time to make sure he gets all the stimulation and exercise he needs. He would be an excellent candidate for agility or Fast CAT and needs a very active home. He would enjoy going for long walks or runs with his new family. He is a handsome, extremely loving boy. He would love to be in your lap but doesn't quite understand how big he is! He is believed to be less than 2 years old. He does not do well with small dogs or cats as he is too rough with them and will chase them. He is overly affectionate with the cats in his foster home and they hide from him now to get away from his attention! Poor guy can't win! For this reason, he also cannot go to a home with kids under 12. He would love to have another dog in the home who is about his size or bigger who would enjoy playing with him. He knows how to sit on command but will benefit from more training. He is very lovable and enjoys getting lots of body scratches and having sweet nothings whispered in his ear. He is potty trained but will mark a bit in the very beginning just to let everyone know he has arrived. If you are looking for an active, amazing, loving pup, please put in an application today. This breed is very rarely available and he will be popular. We will only consider applications that fit his criteria and will choose the home that is best suited to him. Don't miss out on this amazing guy! (Taz is being fostered in Delaware)
