My story
Tater is a 2-3 year old, 7(ish)lb Poodle Mix. Tater came from an overcrowded shelter in New Mexico where even an adorable pup like Tater wasn't finding a family. We knew Tater would find a wonderful home here in CO. When he was first found and brought to the shelter he was so matted he could barely even walk or see. The shelter did the best they could to clean him up, then once he got to CO he was completed shaved down.We want to start out with saying that Tater is young, healthy dog, BUT our vet did identify a small heart murmer on him. It is not severe enough to do anything and will most likely be totally okay for his life, but it does need to be noted. Tater has been in a foster home for a weeks now and his foster family said he is the best dog ever! He gets along great with all the dogs and cats in the home and is the biggest love bug with the humans. They actually said it's the first time they have really considered adopting a foster dog, but they know they want to keep their home open for other dogs in the future. His fosters say he is very friendly and welcoming to everybody he meets. He loves to play, especially chasing his foster brother around and playing tug. If the fosters or the other doggies are not in the mood to play he is more than content to just hang out on your lap or any soft spot. He is still working on potty training, but he is a quick, and very food motivated learner. He still has a good amount of puppy energy, so someone with the time and commitment to spend working with him would be perfect.
