　　FOSTER NEEDED FOR TASHA WHILE SHE IS UNDERGOING HEART WORM TREATMENTS. Tasha is a 3-year-old female Lab mix who has already been spayed. She is black with gorgeous white markings and she has a docked tail! Tasha currently weighs 58 pounds so she is considered to be a large adult dog. This beautiful dog has had a rough go of it. Tasha only has 3 legs--one was amputated due to an injury. She manages very well on her 3 legs and it doesn't slow her down. 'Special Needs' has been indicated on her bio NOT because she only has 3 legs but because she has screened heart worm positive. We are seeking a foster for Tasha while she is undergoing heart worm treatment. Tasha would need a foster home for about 4 weeks. During this time she would be crated with the exception of when she is leash walked to go to the bathroom. PAHS will provide everything you need to foster Tasha and we will pay for her heart worm treatment. Once someone has committed to foster Tasha we will spay her and set up her appointment to begin heart worm treatments. Tasha would be just fine in a home with children and other dogs. She is leash trained and very well behaved. Tasha has a very happy go lucky attitude that just makes you fall in love with her. PLEASE help us help Tasha by offering to foster her. 　　You may remember our directed spay/neuter campaign this past spring--'Spay Neuter Autauga County'-- which was made possible by a $20,000 Petco Lifesaving Grant. PAHS has remaining funds from this grant and we are happy to announce that effective December 1, 2018 all adoptions will be reduced by half! For the month of December (as funds will allow) cat adoption fees will be $25 and dog adoptions $60. We are thrilled to offer this gift to the animals and people of our community. Upon partnering with Petco and receiving these monies, PAHS pledged to work toward 'live outcomes' with shelter animals; we believe half-price adoptions will fulfill this promise and is a great way to end the year! Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter certificate, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heartworm negative.
