　　Taro's Adoption Fee is $450

　　**Taro will be placed in the Phoenix metro area,

　　for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption)

　　and for access to our veterinarian. No exceptions.

　　**

　　Adoption begins in early March with a Foster-To-Adopt arrangement that continues until 1) Taro is old enough to be spayed/neutered and 2) he has completed puppy kindergarten & canine good citizen training.

　　We do NOT do pediatric neuters; for large breeds, neuter will occur after at least six months of age, possibly longer.

　　Meet Taro! He loves people and is going to be a VERY active dog - already chasing around and grabbing everything in sight (including ankles....)! Taro has just joined us and is in medical quarantine to be sure he is completely healthy before joining his foster siblings. Once available, his profile will broadcast to 50+ pet search sites, and we will gather applications for several weeks prior to making decisions on options for placement.

　　We lack fosters with young children so will be considering families with children older than eight years of age only. An adult should be home most of the time as puppies have a demanding feeding/play/learning schedule while they are learning and growing.

　　Taro's new home MUST HAVE at least one other friendly, playful dog, and a large backyard. His new family must participate in and complete 1) Puppy Kindergarten AND 2) Canine Good Citizen with Taro before adoption will be finalized.

　　If you believe you're a possible match for Taro, please complete an adoption application! Please include information regarding your experience with raising and training northern breeds.

　　We will accept applications for a period of weeks prior to making any decisions on Taro's placement. If you'd like updates, please consider registering on our website and "favoriting" his profile.

　　"Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence .(It does not mean a nearby fenced area/dog park.)

　　"Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly dog that lives in the same household.

　　We DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life is taking them next.

　　Dogs remain posted while we screen potential adopters. As long as Taro is designated "Available" we continue to accept applications.

　　We are staffed by all volunteers and use an application protocol to handle all inquiries about adoptable dogs. This system enables an efficiency that allows us to save and care for more dogs. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!
