Hello! My name is Tanuki, and I am a very animated and friendly little guy! I was out on the street for about a week and then got brought to the pound. After nobody claimed me, some other nice rescue people from the neighborhood came by to spring me from my cell! I am a young adult and right now a pretty skinny 14.5 lbs. Possibly a Chihuahua mix, but that is anyone's guess - I definitely have a unique look to me!

　　I am house trained, dog door trained (mastered that one on my second try!) and get along great with dogs and kids. My favorite things are playing with toys, running around, and sunning myself in the backyard. I am a little shy of people at first but that doesn't stop me from wagging my tail right from the beginning. I got my name because I was scared of walks at first too (Tanuki is the Super Mario form that can freeze into a statue), but now I am really good on a leash and think walks are awesome!
