TANMAN's story
Tanman came to us with his brother (adopted!) and sisters at 11 months of age from a difficult situation: their mother had been left pregnant by her family that moved away, a neighbor took her in, let her have the kittens in her home, but never had time for the kittens. They were kept in a laundry room their entire life, so when one of our volunteers arrived there, she decided to give them a chance for a better life. Tanman needs some time to adjust to a new situation and new people, he needs time to learn to trust and a slow introduction to everything new. When he feels comfortable, he welcomes gentle petting and purrs up a storm. We would like to see him adopted with his sister Louise who is even shyer than he is and needs him to feel confident. Both kitties are great with other cats and they need that special person with the heart of a rescuer, who doesn't mind giving them as much time as they need to feel comfortable. Both Tanman and Louise are young and playful and they can't wait to be someone's beloved pets. Their estimated date of birth is 5/27/2016. Their $50 (each) adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip and a free wellness visit with our vet within two weeks of the adoption date. Our adoption hours are Thursday-Saturday, 11:00 am-4:00 pm and Mondays by appointment, and we are located at 10220 N. 32nd Street (just south of Shea Blvd.) in Phoenix. Out-of-state adoptions to surrounding states are possible; however, an in-person introduction with us and our cats is mandatory. We offer a low-cost vaccine clinic on Sundays from 11:00 am-2:30 pm (walk-in; no appts.), a low-cost dental clinic on Wednesdays by appointment, and one free cat-behavior counseling.
