Say hello to Tamar! She is one of the 8 puppies in the TC litter. These 4-month-old pups were rescued together after some extreme cold weather in Arkansas. We're thinking they are Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mixes, and they all have beautiful unique coloring! Tamar is reddish, but there is a black overcoat to her. Her back feet have white tips with brown speckles, and her front feet are white with brown speckles, plus she has some white on chest, brown cheeks and eyebrows.
Tamar and her siblings are your classic new puppies -- friendly, playful, and looking for a fun home full of love! They love playing with squeaky chew toys and chasing and wrestling with their brothers and sisters, so they would likely do well in a home with other dogs. So far, they seem to also get along with the cats, kids, and adults that they've met. As with all new puppies, they can be a little energetic and will need to be in a home with human(s) who can put in some time with training, but it will certainly be worth the effort! We'd recommend a puppy training class, since it's a fun way to help work on these important skills while also getting plenty of playtime with furry friends. Tamar is a very snuggly puppy, so after a full day of play she will be happy to curl up and relax.
Tamar is working really hard on potty training but still needs a little more practice. She is crate trained and walk good on the leash and would love to join you on a walk or hike, but the walk should be close to home as she doesn't love riding in the car. She seems a little shy when meeting new people and new dogs and think she would do best in a low-key household without much foot traffic, no young children, and lots of patience and treats!

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence.
