Give Me a Home by Christmas for FREE!
The Humane Society of West Alabama's Home for the Holidays campaign aims to have as many homeless pets home by the end of December as possible! During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40! Make a cat's Christmas wish come true!

Please meet our beautiful Penny, aptly named for her pretty coppery orange tabby coat! She's a young adult older than 1 year, but vet-estimated to be younger than 3 years. Penny and her two kittens were rescued by a good Samaritan who couldn't keep them very long, but just long enough so Penny's kittens were able to be weaned. Penny is now spayed! Penny is very friendly with a gentle, mild-mannered disposition, and loves our companionship! She loves sunbathing in the windows or curling up in a cozy kitty bed. She's happy to see us every day! Penny could adjust to another cat in the household, but she'd be perfectly happy as an only cat, too. She might do well around a small dog. Penny will be waiting for you to meet her at our cat adoption center, so don't keep her waiting any longer!

Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and has been spayed.
Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors/legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process . Then, if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt this cat, submit an online application form.
