I Want a Home for the Summer!
The Humane Society of West Alabama's "Home for the Summer" campaign aims to find homes for as many pets as possible! During the months of June & July 2013, we've reduced adoption fees to only $45 for all adult cats 1 year and older! Help us make this their best summer ever - by winning a loving family!

This beautiful lady is Mittens, a perfectly striped gray and white tabby. Mittens is a talkative, friendly girl with a chipper attitude! She's vet-estimated to be between 3 and 5 years of age. She has a medium-sized frame, though she is a bit more "rounded" than she needs to be! Mittens was abandoned at a local hotel. Some of the staff were happy to care for her for a couple of weeks, but her safety became a worry. Now she's sitting back and relaxing at our cat adoption center, hoping you'll come in to meet her! She must've been completely relaxed after her hotel stay and vacation, because she is a bit of a lazy girl! She's certainly looking forward to meeting you! Stop by our cat adoption center, sit back and relax with this beautiful girl!

Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors/legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process . Then, if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt this cat, submit an online application form.
