　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments.

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's Home for the Holidays campaign aims to have as many homeless pets home by the end of December as possible! During November & December 2012, we've waived adoption fees for adult cats 1 year and older and reduced younger cats' fees to only $40! Make a cat's Christmas wish come true!

　　Kolby is a very handsome light gray/Silver and white tabby kitten, approximately 6 months old. His fur is a very light silver, but he has these gorgeous golden eyes!! His facial coloring comes down a little low on his cheeks, which gives him just a hint of a squirrel-like look to him!! He's very cute! Kolby is a quiet, gentle guy who just like to kick back and relax! He also loves to be affectionate and can be a little clingy, following our heels wherever we go! Kolby is an excellent companion type of guy. He's a friendly and laid-back young man, always polite, and is especially happy to be around people. He's been gentle and sweet with kids. He doesn't mind if we want to pick him up and hold him. Kolby can't wait to finally be in a loving family to call his very own! Stop in at our cat adoption center to meet Kolby!

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors/legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
