　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　This handsome young man is Knox, a short-haired male silver tabby kitten with slight brown tabby coloring. He has beautiful tiger stripes! Knox is a very active little guy, and will need lots of attention! He's at a young age of only 4 months (as of 6/26). Knox is frightened of dogs, so cannot be in a home with any dogs.

　　Knox has been around people since he was born, and loves attention! He is obsessed with toys!! We suspect his favorite color is blue, since he reacts more to blue toys than green or yellow (cats can see cool colors, but not warm colors like red or orange). Knox is an affectionate guy who's really looking for someone to bond with and just give him enough attention and importance in the family to feel loved. 　　Negative for FIV/FeLK, and current on vaccinations. Due to being underage for a spay/neuter surgery, adoption requires an additional refundable spay/neuter deposit to reinforce state requirements for all adopted pets to be fixed by age of maturity. Read our adoption process for more information.

　　Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and receive immediate vet care upon intake before being available for adoption. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors or legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process .
