　　It's easy to adopt me this summer!

　　Throughout this summer 2012, the Humane Society of West Alabama wants to increase my chances at finding my forever home by reducing my adoption fee! Email my rescue group or stop in to meet me!

　　The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.

　　Please meet Katie, a big and beautiful gray/brown tabby gal! She's full-figured and full of love! Katie is approximately 4 years old, a "curvy, full-figured" young adult! Our Katie is big and proud! Katie is a sweet young lady with a way of politely asking for attention! She's very loving and gentle. About a month after the April 2011 tornado here in Tuscaloosa, Katie was abandoned at a vet clinic with a litter of kittens, all of whom have since been adopted. Katie's rescuer didn't have a home in town anymore and had no place in which to keep her. Katie is still looking for a new permanent home to call her own!

　　Katie is not at all a dominant girl, despite her size. She's very passive and gentle. She could acclimate well into a multi-cat household. We aren't sure how well she'd do around dogs. She does well with children, as long as they're also gentle. If you want to pick her up, she won't mind! Katie is hoping to find her place in someone's home and heart, so please stop in at our cat adoption center to meet this sweet girl!

　　Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations and has been spayed.

　　Katie's adoption fee is temporarily reduced to only $50, a fee to help offset a fraction of the vet costs. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read up on our adoption process .
