The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're all-volunteer and need at least a couple of days of advance notice to schedule appointments.
To adopt, we need to receive an application (link to the online version found below). Some pets could be in foster care. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at [email removed]!

This teeny tiny little cutie pie is Ash, a male silver tabby kitten, approximately 7-8 weeks old. He's possibly a Maine Coon-mix (a similar-looking littermate has very Maine Coon-like features, but Ash's fur is currently a little shorter). We aren't sure yet if these light blue eyes are permanent! His gorgeous silver fur sparkles, along with charcoal stripes and spots! (Those gray tabby legs above Ash belong to his handsome tabby brother, Linden.) He is very tiny and fragile, so he will need a specific home that can give him the special care he needs! He is very small, so we will not be looking for a home for him with kids under the age of 12. We also do not recommend a home with indoor dogs. He's a sweet little guy who needs a safe and loving home! Visit our cat adoption center during Saturday open hours or contact us to meet Ash!

Negative for FIV/FeLK, and received FVRCP kitten vaccinations. Ash will require his Rabies + FeLK vaccination three weeks after the previous vaccinations. Due to being underage for a spay/neuter surgery, adoption requires an additional refundable spay/neuter deposit to reinforce state requirements for all adopted pets to be fixed by age of maturity. Read our adoption process for more information.
Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and receive immediate vet care upon intake before being available for adoption. Vet records are provided to adopters. Read the descriptions thoroughly and note the specific personalities or special criteria we recommend (some are not good around kids, other cats, dogs, etc.). We cannot accept applications from minors or legal dependents. Read up on our adoption process . Then, if you feel your home might be the right forever home and you would like to adopt this cat, submit an online application form.
