Description

  Tabby - Buff - Larry - Medium - Baby - Male - Cat

The Humane Society of West Alabama's cat adoption center at 1515 Veterans Memorial Pkwy is open Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Appointments are available for other times with advance notice. We're an all-volunteer group and need advance notice to schedule appointments. We cannot accept same-day appointments. To adopt, we need to receive a completed application for review (online application found at ). Some animals may be in foster homes. For information on a specific animal, please visit our adoption center or email us at [email removed]! This fuzzy little guy is Larry, a medium-haired "peach" or very light orange tabby. His fur may stay medium-length or get a little fluffier as he grows up. He's just a baby at only 4 months old (as of Dec 3rd, 2013). Larry is a ham! He loves toys, and is extremely affectionate. Larry rolls over on your feet if you ignore him. Larry loves to be picked up and held (sometimes he demands it), and purrs instantly. Be prepared to get headbutted by this affectionate fluffball! Larry loves playing with other kittens, but he is high-energy and may make some adult cats nervous or aggressive. Larry needs a good bit of supervision and bonding time in his young age, so he is not suitable for a home where he's left alone most of the day. He should do well with older kids, maybe ages 7 and older, who can handle him gently, even when he isn't gentle. We do not recommend Larry in a home with dogs - he isn't a fan of big or little dogs. Visit our cat adoption center or contact us to meet Larry and more adoptable cats and kittens! Negative for FIV and FeLK, current on vaccinations. Due to being underage for a spay/neuter surgery, adoption requires an additional refundable spay/neuter deposit to reinforce state requirements for all adopted pets to be fixed by age of maturity. Read our adoption process at /howtoadopt.html for more information. Our flat adoption fee is $75, a fee to help defray a fraction of veterinary costs and general care expenses. Our adoptable animals have routine vet visits, and are as healthy as possible as soon as they are in our care. Vet records are provided to adopters. Visit to read our adoption process and fill out an online application.
